“Friendly Hotel”

A lovely, relaxing holiday. We spent our days between the sea‑salt pool and the sea. Food at the restaurant is great, and breakfast offers a nice variety. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are many nice places to eat along the sea front, and Nomad serves good sushi. Facilities need some TLC; a kettle would be nice. There’s only one local walkable shop for basics and some food and drinks; all other shops have closed. A nightclub nearby means you’ll hear it until early hours on weekends, and you’ll also hear your neighbours. The bedroom walls are thin or a door is locked between adjoining rooms.

“Furchtbar”

The beach directly in front of the hotel was the only thing that was really nice. There was no equipment, so there was really nothing, despite the suite. Single‑use plastic cups were used at breakfast. The juice tasted like effervescent tablets, and the coffee was made with instant powder. The advertised beach bar was a ruin and permanently closed. The double bed was just two beds shoved together, and the sofa was an old bed. I could open the room door in two seconds with a normal plastic card (I AM NOT A KEY SERVICE). The shower had no handheld showerhead, only sample packages of soap and shower gel. There was no bottle opener, no beach towels, no glasses, no cutlery, no blanket—just a cover. Balcony furniture was rattan painted white, the paint had peeled, and there were no seat cushions. A waiter was almost never found at the bar in the lobby. Dinner was not a buffet but a small menu at the assigned table. We had a door in the room that led to the neighbors’ bathroom. That is not a suite and not worth 4 stars! Also, we had a water damage issue.
