I liked the spot—good location and the rooms themselves were clean, but the hallways and entry felt unclean and clearly need a major update. The waffle iron didn’t work properly, and there were covers for coffee cups but no one came to check or resupply breakfast items.

The location was fine, and there were rooms available with good value compared to other places in the Duluth area. However, the air conditioning was on by default, so the room was cool when I arrived that evening, and accessing the second‑floor room required outside stairs with the stairwell lights off that night.

We were just looking for a place to sleep and shower, had low expectations, and they were met: we had a bed and shower. The toilet kept running unless we manipulated the tank, the carpet was dirty, and a musty smell filled the building. Breakfast was adequate, but the serving area was not clean when we ate between 8:50 and 9:20 am. The staff we encountered seemed crabby and not very enthusiastic about their jobs.
