“Cozy but nice”

I felt right at home here; the family living on the property were welcoming and the kitchen was fully stocked and open for guests, though it could have been cleaner. The room itself was spotless and came with toiletries for those who forgot theirs, and the bathrooms were well supplied and thoughtfully arranged. The place sits close to downtown yet remains quiet at the Abbey. Unfortunately, the beds were squeaky and lacked support, making it hard to sleep, and a new mattress would make a big improvement.

The host family were helpful and kind, and the location is great—just a short walk to downtown. However, the walls are paper‑thin and the floors squeak, which I didn’t see in the description before booking; I was only told about it in an email a few days prior to my arrival.

“A very convenient location with great hospitality.”

Located right in town, it’s only a two‑minute walk to the start/finish line of the Leadville Marathon. Guests can use the kitchen for cooking, grab ice, and store food in the fridge. The rooms are small and simple, with shared community bathrooms down the hall. The bathrooms themselves are nice and clean, but the hallway floors are loud and creaky, so I wore earplugs to avoid hearing every footstep at night.

“It was ok for one night”

It’s close to town, but the beds made noises, the floors were noisy, and the hollow doors let the noise through—walls didn’t help at all.

The Wi‑Fi was friendly and okay, but the shower heads need updating. There’s no TV in the room, and the keys are difficult to use; unlocking and locking the door is a hassle.
