The comfortable 4-star, family-owned and -run Atel Hotel Lasserhof in Salzburg enjoys a quiet location in the centre of the town, close to main train station, only 4 km from the airport. All of the historic sights and attractions of the city, such as Mirabell Castle and Gardens, theatres, churches and museums, congress halls and of course the famous historic Old Town are easily reachable on foot from the Lasserhof hotel. Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel free of charge.

The location is great, within walking distance of the central train station and the city center, but the bathroom fixtures and ventilation need improvement.

All the staff were friendly; when I mentioned it was a bit cold on arrival, they brought a portable heater, and they were meticulous about breakfast service.
