Mopane Bush Lodge, situated on Mapesu Nature Reserve 66.8 km from Musina, offers luxury accommodation. The lodge features a swimming pool, bar, and shaded outdoor seating area. Rooms have a bushveld-overlooking terrace, tea-and-coffee-making facilities, and a spacious shower with an additional outdoor shower. Wi-Fi is available in the dining room, with nearby Mapungubwe National Park and World Heritage Landscape.

Nice lodge close to the beautiful Mapungubwe NP, we had two excellent rondavels that were well kept. We enjoyed some good game drives with coffee stops in the morning and sundowners in the evening on their own property (and adjacent). We did a self‑drive to Mapungubwe, which is only 15 minutes away! The pool was fine, just cold. The website said you could eat a la carte, but in reality you were expected to join the 3‑course menu where you could choose 1‑2 or 3 courses, which made it relatively pricey (the food quality was fine). One evening we made a mess and my daughter couldn't order what she wanted. It was our most expensive location on the trip and I’m not sure it was worth it, especially since you only pay for the rondavel initially and all the other costs add up.

Clean and spacious tent in a peaceful setting, with welcoming staff and a relaxing vibe; however, there’s no braai at the tents—only a large common one near the restaurant, and the “gift” bottle at supper turned out not to be a gift at check‑out.
