“Ga hier niet naartoe”

The room looked nothing like the pictures – plain white walls, harsh LED lighting and a constant roar from the ventilation that wouldn't shut off all weekend. Cleanliness was poor and there was barely anyone on duty to answer questions, especially on the weekend. They eventually moved us into a different room and offered a modest refund, which is why I didn't give it a one‑star.

The hotel sits in a handy area, the rooms were spotless and I felt safe walking around. The only downside was that the Tim Hortons next door was shut, though other restaurants and the nearby mall were still within easy reach.

The door wouldn't lock, the air‑conditioner ran nonstop at freezing temps and couldn't be turned off, and the bathroom fan was a constant, deafening hum. There were no basic kitchen items like glasses or cutlery, the pillow felt like a sack of air, and the parking situation was a nightmare – staff couldn't explain the rules and the $5‑per‑hour charge starting at 6 am was absurd.

“11 nights”

We liked most of the hotel's amenities, but the reception staff were downright rude. When the toilet got clogged on our first night and the plunger failed, the desk clerk immediately accused us of causing the blockage and acted as if we were clueless guests. Their attitude was far from helpful.

The staff were welcoming, the premises were tidy and every appliance we needed was there, and the neighborhood was quiet and easy to reach by bus.
