We enjoyed the countryside calm and it was on our route too. Both rooms had field views, and downstairs there was a nice terrace. The owner was very friendly. The shower over the bath could be better, but it was perfectly usable.

The host was very warm, the room was clean and very quiet. The evening meal was simple but good and cheap. If you’re on a bike it feels isolated. There’s nothing to see or do in Mave, and dinner isn’t available until 9 pm, so it can be a long day. No formal breakfast was offered, but you could buy coffee and a croissant separately.

The place was peaceful for sleeping, and room 101 offered sunrise views. Cleaning was perfect, the mattresses were the best, and the couple running the place was very kind. On another visit to Aguilar del Campo we’ll stay again. It was the perfect spot to rest and continue our journey to Garabandal.
