“Cozy and great hostel!”
The room was very nice, the beds comfy, and the facilities good. The woman who assisted us was friendly and spoke good English.

The room is large and pretty, the shower is amazing, and the common area is pleasant. The bedding is very good. The inn is on a quiet street, so we slept very well. It’s a bit out of the center but well served by several bus lines.

The interior is cleaner than I expected and feels like visiting a newly built cousin’s house, which was great. Because I had a late check‑in, I didn’t get much interaction with other guests, but the shared lounge has a Japanese‑style kitchen that I liked. The only downside was that the sink water pressure could have been higher; it was a bit weak.

The location is convenient, only about 650 m from the Toji temple. I arrived in the early evening to find it completely unmanned—a self‑check‑in guest house with no staff present. The telephone didn’t answer. I had to email the staff and managed to get the key, but if your smartphone is broken or you’re not used to online messaging, you might struggle. Be sure to read their messages from the afternoon of your arrival date.
