The staff, room, and food were amazing; a very polite lady at reception welcomed me and did everything she could, then showed me to my fantastic room, and I later enjoyed a delicious steak followed by homemade sticky‑toffee pudding at the restaurant. I found nothing to dislike.

I was extremely disappointed when my confirmed booking was cancelled at 2:57 pm on arrival day; the hotel claimed a refund had been issued that same day, yet I had to contact them to confirm I hadn’t stayed before it was processed. The last‑minute cancellation, poor communication, lack of a sincere apology, and no goodwill gesture made for a very bad experience.

The day staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food was lovely, and the room was very nice and clean, though it was a little pricey for a one‑night stay in a property outside the city centre.
