“Могло бути місцем куди хочеш повернутись, але Оле...”
Nature was incredible, with beautiful vistas that made it a perfect escape from everything. It was quiet, except for cows ringing bells at 5 am because of the “wonderful sound‑proofing”; there was almost no connectivity or internet. The kids enjoyed the trampoline and pool, but they need more. We had a great walk around, picked mushrooms and berries, the forest was lovely, and we could splash in cool streams. Overall my family liked it; these places are worth visiting, but not for Oleg.
Read all the negative reviews carefully before deciding if this is right for you. Some people are fine with a bottle of whiskey and friends anywhere, others need the comfort and entertainment promised on Booking, which just isn’t there. The truth is, people speak honestly. I went through all that. I booked on Booking about two weeks before, got a confirmation, thought all was fine, and headed out. On the day of departure, no one called me back. In the evening, with my luggage already in the car, I called to confirm we were still expected. I got a call back, they said: “Who are you? … what booking? We’re all prepaid… you’re with Genius, their prices are insane, these prices don’t exist… they’re charging you 50% extra.” “Act fast or I’ll have 10 people waiting for a spot and if you don’t pay in half an hour there’s no space.” My luggage was already in the car and the whole family was “on skis”! We left, already packed, and not in a position to be happy. When we arrived, I understood why the prepayment was required – to stop guests from leaving immediately, even though some did during our stay, because the difference between the description and reality was obvious. Probably the “working TV” in the description is somewhere: Oleg never turned it on, told us to find batteries, maybe it would work if we went into town for a few days. There’s a shower in the room, not just one shared between two floors, and a toilet. There’s supposed to be sound‑proofing; I heard a neighbor on the same floor tossing at night on a very “comfortable bed”. There’s supposed to be clean rooms, but our spiders didn’t appreciate that. Our room had a “nice view” :) but unfortunately that’s all that can be praised. There’s a stove in the mini‑kitchen, I guess in campers… because it’s not on the main one, you have to ask the cooks, but they’re very good and let you in. The fridge is a separate topic, probably 50 litres, maybe a little more, three shelves for six rooms… Is there a quad bike? It broke. There were bicycles, but not long, probably ran out. And almost everything else is the same.
