The hotel was well‑located, right on the market square, but the square is now dead, with only a pharmacy and a fast‑food place left. There was a bike room, but it was inconvenient because I had to carry my 30 kg e‑bike up three steps without a ramp. From the start, the receptionist made me feel like I was bothering her with questions about parking, bike storage, and breakfast times. The hotel’s parking cost an extra 15 € per day, which I found expensive for an open, unguarded gravel lot. The mattress was hard, so my bones hurt quickly. During my five nights, housekeeping only came on the second day, didn’t change the towel, didn’t bring a fresh one, and didn’t return to the room on the following days, which I found quite unpleasant; I had to use a towel from my suitcase for five days. Breakfast, priced at 18 €, was mediocre, and on two days the scrambled eggs were cold.

A friendly hotel in the beautiful town of Spreewald right in the heart of the old town, everything close to historic sites, shops, and eateries. The only downside is that the breakfasts are a bit pricey (18 Euro); at that cost you could already grab lunch elsewhere.

“Aufenthalt im Ratskeller”

Everything was great and we felt comfortable; the location was excellent. The only issue was the smokers in the courtyard, especially with the windows open.
