The surroundings were nice and the living‑room kitchen was bright, but the listing was misleading (I had three people read it and we all understood it the same way). It is indeed a shared guesthouse: you have your own rooms and kitchens, yet everything is open to the owner’s common areas. A central staircase leads to shared spaces without partitions, and while there are two separate kitchens, they are open to each other… Sometimes that’s what you want, and in that case it’s perfect; other times you read “Ecrin de tranquillité” in the title and “Maison 3 chambres” on booking instead of Airbnb, and you don’t expect that, so you’re inevitably disappointed.
