Our stay at Yoki Maja Boutique Hotel in Lapland was an absolute dream. The entire house is gorgeous and decorated with incredible attention to detail. Every room is uniquely designed—drawn from Lapland’s seasons—and has its own charm. We especially loved the daybed by the large windows. Kerstin runs this special boutique BnB with huge enthusiasm and warmth. You can feel how much she cares about her guests’ well‑being. She offers valuable tips for outings, is always ready to help, and makes you feel completely comfortable. Breakfast is simply amazing: homemade bread and rolls, many other lovingly prepared treats—all fresh and made with passion. In the afternoon there’s coffee, cake, and waffles. In the evening Kerstin cooks a truly good meal (for an extra fee), which we highly recommend. When there are enough guests, she even organizes a cozy Kota evening—a very special experience. The large lounge with the huge table invites shared breakfasts and dinners. It’s easy to strike up conversations with other guests, which we found very enriching. The whole house exudes warmth and personality. From there we could see breathtaking northern lights—a memorable moment. A car is useful for exploring the beautiful surroundings, and Kerstin gives great recommendations for that too. For us it was an extraordinary, beautiful time, and we would return anytime. A big thank you to the caring helpers as well. Regarding the 2‑point rating: we understand the background. If you try to accommodate strangers without the host’s consent, a bad review is very unfair from our perspective. Thank you, dear Kerstin, for this special break! 💛

The accommodation is very tidy and atmospherically decorated. The staff are very caring; we were truly pampered. The food was also fantastically tasty. Everything was at least as good as expected.
