The location was perfect for our route, and breakfast was nice and different compared to big chains; the table was already set and the waiter had everything needed. The restaurant, however, had no services.

We tried to contact the property in the afternoon to give our arrival time and ask if we could grab a bite in the restaurant, but received no reply—just a voicemail saying we could speak again the next day after 09:00. When we arrived, a folded envelope with a room key was left at the "reception". In the restaurant we found an employee who reluctantly told us roughly how to get to our room. It took a while to locate it under rain and darkness over the large courtyard. The room was large but very cold (night temperature +3 °C, felt 15 °C inside). The radiators were cold even when turned up, and nobody could be reached for help. The bed was okay, the bathroom and toilet were below standard.

Self‑check‑in worked smoothly; all details were sent by email and reiterated on site. Our "chicken coop" room on the first floor was charming and spacious. The gourmet breakfast the next morning in the guesthouse was served by a very friendly young woman. Egg dishes could be ordered and waffles made on the spot. Everything tasted great, though we couldn’t try everything because we were on motorcycles and full stomachs made riding uncomfortable. We pre‑ordered the Backhendlbox online and found it ready—delicious! Drinks and snacks could be taken from the pantry and paid with a credit card. Plenty of parking was available. The view and garden with seating areas were relaxing; we really enjoyed our time at Landgut Riegerbauer.
