Our suite was huge, a mix of Western and Japanese style, and the space was impeccably clean—perfect for traveling with elders, while younger folks could stay in the Japanese‑style rooms for easier movement. There was a fairly large living area for family chats, and from the high floor we enjoyed stunning sunrise, sunset and sea views. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, cups and even an electric hot‑pot, making it great for long stays; we spent one night cooking hot‑pot ourselves and loved it. The front‑desk staff couldn’t speak English but patiently used a translation app to help us who didn’t know Japanese, which we really appreciated. The only downside was that the hotel isn’t on a main street; like many Atami hotels built on the hillside, getting in and out required going up or down slopes or taking shortcuts and stairs (the rooms themselves have elevators), which was a bit tiring, haha.
