“Rooms were not clean enough and the furniture was old.”

The spot was decent, especially if you’re staying 2‑3 nights and hunting for a cheap rate, but the room itself wasn’t very clean and the furniture looked old and worn out.

The hotel was excellent, in a great location, with large beds. I checked in at 12:00, which was very nice.

The location was good, quite close to the river and about a 15‑minute walk from the city centre. The reception staff were mostly okay, some very passive and one brand‑new, yet we managed a decent rapport with them despite the hotel’s overall poor state. One of them helped us change rooms and handed us a remote so the TV started working after a couple of days. (The TV was old and only had a couple of German channels, but it worked at least, unlike most other things.) The rooms were in bad condition, poorly cleaned, and had old and broken tech: the air‑conditioner stopped on day 2 of 6, the fridge didn’t work and leaked water throughout the stay. The shower leaked too. Wifi was unstable and frequently dropped. None of this was fixed even after we reported it and were promised a technician would look at it. Additionally there was a blood stain on the ceiling, many spiders in the bathroom and shower, makeup on the room mirror, a dirty and old shower, dirty sheets and towels (even the new ones we received had large brown spots after a few days), some furniture had big gouges/marks and parts of other pieces were crumbling (probably from the fridge leak). We also stepped on a rusty nail on the floor and strongly suspected bed bugs/rodents as one of us got several marks on the body after a few days. We were moved twice when we arrived. What I described above was the best of the three rooms… After that we kept a good tone with the staff, but it seemed they couldn’t help with most of the issues. We got a remote on day 2 so the TV worked, but it was old and only had a couple of German channels, so we could manage without it. How this hotel can have a rating over 7 is completely incomprehensible.

Everything was terrible: the curtain had a menu from a month ago stuck to it. The duvet covers were dirty, I pulled them off and laid them on the floor for a new cover, then the old one was re‑covered from the floor. Hair lay on the floor tiles for all four days, dust hung from the bathroom vent. Mold and other spots were visible on the bathroom ceiling. The shower grout was heavily mouldy. Used tissues lay under the bed. Never going back there again.
