The lodging was clean, roomy, and featured an amazing fireplace and bar area; it sits a bit outside town, so you have to drive about 6 km on a rough road, but that’s close enough to spend the day in town and return safely. The pull‑out couches were a bit too hard to sleep on, and some guests felt like they were sleeping on a table.

The setting was peaceful, the house was well equipped, and it made an ideal weekend gathering for a small group.

It was an amazing, cozy spot with great hosts; the dogs loved it too. There’s plenty to do or you can just unwind, and the indoor fireplace/braai area was our favorite.
