The family‑owned place is quiet and friendly, with very good food, and there’s nothing to complain about.
“Great value for money. Lovely people.”
They were friendly, polite, and very attentive, even bringing me dinner to a small outdoor seating area in my room. Breakfast was included and I enjoyed a lovely banana pancake with coffee. The private room cost 75,000 rp for the night, which was amazing value. Since they just opened, they’re still figuring out how to run the homestay, but they already have a tour company for Rinjani. The only downside was the location: Google Maps shows the wrong spot; it’s actually a 5‑minute drive up a steep road from the listed address. I was lucky my Indonesian friend, who could speak to the staff, called for me. He said the person he spoke to with the booking number was a construction worker, not the owners, but he sent GPS coordinates so I could find the place. Locals hadn’t heard of the homestay because it’s brand new. I explained the issue to them, hoping they’ll update the app so it won’t be a problem for future guests.
