Sahara Nights Luxury Camp

It was a fantastic experience. The camel ride to the camp at sunset, the warm welcome at the tents, and the evening entertainment were all wonderful. The next morning you could book a 35 € per person ATV tour (1 h) to the parking lot instead of driving back in a jeep. There you could sandboard and get some desert information. Overall it isn’t cheap because you still have to pay for the round‑trip transport to the camp, but it’s a must‑do. The atmosphere and the experience were dreamy! The only downside was that air conditioning wasn’t included in the price (50 € per day add‑on – probably all camps are linked). Two couples who had the camel ride with us had booked different accommodations (by name) but stayed with us in our tent. Unfortunately there were no standard sockets in the tent, only USB ports. The meeting point felt somewhat disorganised.

The views of the huge dunes were beautiful, the staff was friendly, and the guide Muhammad was wonderful, taking us all day around lovely, interesting spots, sharing many facts and answering questions.

The breakfast was generous and the 4‑course dinner was very tasty. The only problem was that you have to pay 60 € per person for transport from the affiliated hotel to the desert camp, and this was not mentioned anywhere beforehand.

We were welcomed with a cool mint drink, the tent was very nice and the bed was very comfortable, the private bathroom was clean. After dinner the staff performed a music show that involved all guests. The only negative thing is that air conditioning had to be paid separately at 50 €. Hoping the night would cool down, we didn’t pay for it, but it was very hot and we slept with the door and windows open.

A wonderful experience that lets you fully enjoy a night in the desert. We chose the camel ride plus jeep return package (cost 60 €), which was worth every penny. The tent and bathroom were very nice and spacious with all the necessary comforts. The dinner and breakfast at the camp were really good. On arrival the parking area wasn’t very well maintained, but compared to the overall experience, it was a minor detail.
