“Briliant and luxurious and personal without clamour or crowds”
The setting was breathtakingly peaceful with sweeping views of Mt Ermeishan’s steep wooded slopes and no other signs of civilization; the floor‑to‑ceiling bedroom window offered 180‑degree vistas, and the dining area’s alfresco spot under persimmon trees lit by low‑light Chinese lanterns was perfect for evenings. No road or other noise intruded. Staff were very attentive and helpful, adding a personal touch. The robes were luxurious and the bath mat deep, thick, and fluffy—a nice upscale detail. A short 50‑meter walk behind the hotel led to a shuttle bus that took us up to the cable car for a ride up Mt Ermeishan. After a tough day of hiking up and down the mountain, we texted the hotel, and they promptly arranged an outside dinner table set with pristine white tablecloth and our requested meal, which we enjoyed. The stay was restful, luxurious, and very well priced. Nothing needed changing; it was exceptional.
