Wonderful hospitality from the host. The room is large, cozy, clean and cool even in the hot season. The location just outside Florence on the hills is a handy base to stay away from city traffic and heat while still reaching the city quickly by car. We’ll definitely come back for the great prices, the friendliness, and the host’s advice.

We booked “La stanza col giardino” because the “Teatro Cartiere Carrara” was our target; it’s outside the city but close enough: about 15 minutes by car to the theatre and half an hour to the S. Maria Novella station. We really liked the beautiful scenery, the quiet, and the on‑property parking. Carolina, the owner, is very friendly and welcomed us warmly, explaining everything we needed for our stay. She’s also a good painter and her lovely canvases decorate the huge room. The idea of offering a selection of books to guests is great. The cleaning was impeccable. The only negatives were personal: the integrated bidet in the WC isn’t my thing, and I didn’t find a switch to turn on at least one of the lamps in the room when I entered. Maybe I missed it, otherwise there are plenty of tech fixes for the issue.

“Carolina est très serviable et à l’écoute et d’une sincère bienveillance.”

The room was very spacious, though the shower head felt a bit slippery; consider adding blackout curtains so you’re not woken by daylight.
