The check‑in window was tightly set from 17:00 to 18:00. Because we were cycling, we notified the place early about our late arrival and sent an updated time, but received no reply. We tried calling several times and reached no one. When we arrived, check‑in was already closed, forcing us to book another spot last minute and rendering our reservation useless. The later communication was especially disappointing: our account of the events was called a “lie” even though we could prove our attempts and messages. No refund or accommodation was offered despite the circumstances. Although the description lists the check‑in and check‑out times, travelers should note that the place seems inflexible to unexpected delays. Overall, the communication and guest handling felt unwelcoming.

Забронировали, оплатили, предупредили что опоздаем в связи с пробками на дорогах, а на пол часа опоздали, и ночевали в машине , потому что заселение в пансион только с 17.00-18.00. Нас в пансион даже не пустили, хотя вся заплачено, возвращать деньги отказываются

“Absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Unterirdisch unfreundlich.”

Die Vermieterin war vorher nicht erreichbar. So konnten wir nicht absprechen ob wir unsere Dackel mitbringen dürfen. Beim vorgesehen einchecken waren wir 10 Min. eher da aber sie war nicht erreichbar. Auf unser Klingeln wurde erst Punkt 17.00 reagiert. Wir durften dann die Dackel nicht mitnehmen weil es vorher nicht abgesprochen war. Ein Lösungs orientiertes Gespräch war nicht möglich Gespräch. Unsere Anfrage zur Toilettenbenutzung wir hatten ein lange Autofahrt hinter uns wurde verweigert. Ein anderer Gast der die ganze Szenerie mitbekommen hat hat uns dann angeboten die Toilette in seiner FeWo zu benutzen was die Vermieterin dann mit Hinweis auf ihr Hausrecht verboten hat. Der Bezug der Unterkunft wurde uns damit verweigert. Ein weiterer Hinweis. Die Unterkunft liegt an einem langgezogenen steilen Hang und es stehen keine Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Insgesamt kann ich nzr sagen ich bin 64 Jahre alt aber so was ist mir noch nie passiert

“Ich komme wieder.....”

The pension is very quiet, which suited me perfectly. The host was friendly and straightforward; I had to leave early, but that was no problem. A parking spot next to the house was available for €5 per day, which was fine. I can’t understand the bad reviews here. Everything was spotless, and for the small price it was more than okay! The check‑in time from 17 to 18 is a bit inconvenient; I had to glance at the clock every five minutes to make sure I was on time and not late. Besides, it’s mid‑day and you can’t plan your day. I would consider a key‑safe and maybe a PayPal deposit for the security deposit, which would make things more relaxed for both parties.

“Sehr saubere, gemütliche Ferienwohnung”

We had a great stay at Pension Eltmann. The journey from Eltmann train station to the accommodation takes about half an hour, so we had a nice walk. The reception was very friendly, the room with a bathroom was clean, and there was even a kettle for tea or coffee. There’s no stove or fridge. A €50 key deposit is unusual, but it was refunded without hassle at checkout. The location is wonderful on a slope (the street is steep but only a short stretch) and you can head out for walks right away. The price is really cheap. We felt very comfortable. Eltmann is a very picturesque town. The only odd thing: the garbage bag costs €4.50, so it’s best to bring your own and dispose of it at the station.
