My boyfriend and I enjoyed a lovely room, and the staff were very friendly from the moment we entered, which I appreciated. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. There was no bin inside the bedroom and I spotted a few spiders on the ceiling, but aside from that it was perfect.

The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean, but the food menu was limited.

I stayed in a comfortable room with a self‑catering kitchen and a basic continental breakfast. The place is very close to a co‑op shop and offers great value, plus a wide selection of real ales. The only downside was that the bathroom was shared, but we were told about this beforehand.

The staff were friendly and helpful, letting me know the kitchen was available and stocked with a bit of everything, so I could easily make a cuppa. The room was very clean and tidy. I had to share a bathroom, but that was fine; it had both a shower and a bath. Check‑in and check‑out were easy. I’m a light sleeper, so the noise from the pub below and other guests kept me awake longer.
