If you want a genuine Georgian countryside experience, this is the spot. The view from the farmhouse is wonderful, and the animals roaming around add to the charm. We had a great breakfast with local products and the ladies were very sweet. Of course it’s a remote spot in the middle of the countryside, so expect dirt roads and basic services. The bedsheets were too short for the bed size.

The valley where the accommodation is located was stunning. The building was an authentic little structure. A terrible dirt road leads to the lodging. Our host offered us breakfast, but didn’t give proper information that it would be available in the village, not on the premises.

A welcoming, authentic place in the green, in contact with animals and real Georgia. They cooked us an excellent dinner, unlike anything we’d tasted elsewhere. It reminded me of authentic countryside life and made me fall in love with a different Georgia. The road to get there is unpaved and our car unfortunately couldn’t handle it. Luckily they escorted us with their powerful vehicles.

When we arrived, nobody was there and we were told we had to go to the family’s second guest house for dinner. That turned our somewhat poor first impression (also due to our fatigue) into a wonderful one thanks to the friendly woman and her daughters. We were served many tasty dishes, and the daughters were so kind to bring us back to the actual lodging. There we received a nice, pleasant room in a beautiful, somewhat secluded setting. A very nice stay! The road to get there isn’t the easiest, but if you drive carefully it works.
