Parking was free right outside the door and the bus connection to Zadar was good; the room was very clean and had a nice, spacious balcony, yet every shower was cold even though the button was set correctly, extra towels for longer stays were missing, the bed quality could have been better, a sheet on the mattress kept coming loose during sleep so you were directly on the mattress, which felt dirty and unhygienic, the room could have been larger, and the coffee/tea machine tasted bad with a chlorine flavor.

The location is great and peaceful; the host let us leave our luggage and check in early. The rooms are tidy, and the terraces and pool are clean. The beach is about a three‑minute walk away.

Unfortunately, there’s no breakfast. The location is okay, and it’s nice that it’s not directly on the main street, so it’s comfortable and not loud. The house and surroundings are lovingly maintained. I’d like to highlight the coffee machine. We were allowed to have a complimentary welcome coffee there and could enjoy it right on our room’s terrace, arriving in peace. Aside from the lack of food options (which we knew), there’s nothing to complain about regarding the accommodation. What was very, very disrespectful and outrageous was UBER (the taxi company). The day before, we booked an UBER taxi to the airport. It was confirmed, even with the driver’s name. Yet the taxi never arrived. A quarter of an hour after the scheduled pickup, the UBER app no longer showed the confirmed booking but only “DRIVER SEARCHING.” Half an hour after the scheduled pickup, we called TAXI ZADAR (a competing company) and ten minutes later Taxi Zadar arrived, and we made it to the airport just in time. When we returned home in Germany, the UBER app still showed “DRIVER SEARCHING.” IF YOU MUST BE PUNCTUAL FOR A TIME, DO NOT RELY ON UBER!!!
