We only stayed one night, so luck was not on our side. There was no parking nearby, the train was loud, and the area was dirty.

This time I stayed in a courtyard room, which was a new experience and very good. The kitchen equipment was the best. The parking situation was an issue, but parking behind the level crossing was fine.

What could I like about opening the door to the room in the back courtyard? A monstrous piss and crap smell hit me. Everything! The beds were sagging; we didn’t move anything, but we were scared of getting syphilis, scabies, or something else. The toilet was so bad we went to McDonald’s for our hygiene and bathroom needs. It stank to the point of gagging! The shower was absolutely filthy; I only saw the shower hose and drain, and then the gagging returned. The room was no bigger than a prison cell. No, for 62 € this is below the lowest standard.

The loft room was small but somehow cute, and the bed, though narrow, was really comfortable. I liked that the room smelled of fresh linens when I entered and that scent lingered. The shower pressure was good and the water was hot. A large fridge in the room was a pleasant surprise. There was a small TV and a big fan. The woman who welcomed me was warm. Check‑in and check‑out were very easy and quick. The stairs are very steep and the steps narrow, which is bad for people with knee problems or physical limitations. The handrail on the top meter is fully screwed to the wall, making it impossible to grasp. The skylight could use a fly screen.

The bed was comfortable. The location relative to the S‑bahn was fine, and at night there wasn’t much street noise. Everything else was a bit run down. There was no light in the bathroom, and the window couldn’t be darkened.
