The place is in a good spot, roomy and the sheets get changed every day, which I liked. But the pool was filthy, with broken tiles and bad furniture, and the spa bath was a huge, dirty concrete tub that even flooded some areas. The hotel couldn’t meet the legal registration requirement, so I couldn’t extend my visa.

The rooms were spacious and the pool was fantastic for cooling off in the heat, plus it looked pretty. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had the place to ourselves because it was low season, and it was only a short 5 to 10 minute walk to markets, restaurants, Pub Street, a mini-mart, and a 7‑Eleven across the road, which was very convenient. A few minutes Tuk Tuk ride (USD2) got us to several tourist spots. The beds were comfortable. On the downside, there was a small step between the bedroom and lounge area in the spa suite that was a bit hazardous—I stubbed my foot about three times in the dark—and it would be better if it were replaced with a short ramp. Toilet paper was replaced infrequently.

The staff were wonderful, very nice people and extremely helpful. Nothing to complain about.
