The staff went above and beyond – when the taxi I’d booked was cancelled, the owner himself drove me to the train station for free, which I really appreciated. The rooms were large, clean and cozy, the food matched what we’d arranged, and the free parking was a nice bonus. The whole spot is quiet and calm, so I’d gladly recommend it, though the taxi‑booking side can be a bit hit‑or‑miss.

This little hotel is run by a kindly older physiotherapist, and the front desk staff were friendly enough. Beds were comfortable, everything was spotless, and breakfast was set up with gloves and our preferences written down in advance. If luck’s on your side you might even get a quick spin in a Ferrari, and there’s a solid Mexican joint just a hundred meters away. The only downside is the remote village setting – not much to do nearby, though we were there for the Alcatraz festival.
