Dear Faro - Guest House

The room and the house were very beautiful and clean, and everything needed was available. The garden and the roof terrace made the stay even more pleasant. It is situated quietly on a side street, yet the bus station is 10 minutes away and the old town is right in the middle. The owners were very accommodating; we were able to check in early and stay in the room later than usual, which made the stay much more relaxed for us. The breakfast location changed daily but was always very good. We would definitely return.

“breakfast is not worth it , if you have to, book your room without breakfast or look for nearby hotels and guest houses”

Location is great, service not so much! :(. I had a really bad and awkward experience, first the breakfast venue was 10 minutes walk from the hotel, second i booked my room with breakfast, but when I went to have breakfast I was denied entry because the management didn’t inform the staff that i booked my room with breakfast included

“Onduidelijke info. Kleine kamer voor veel geld.”

De lokatie was prima. Centrum en openbaar vervoer op loopafstand. Met code naar binnen gaat goed. Te weinig informatie bij aankomst. Veel te kleine kamer. Konden nergens onze spullen kwijt. Lijkt wel een kast met 2 bedden erin met een raampje. Vragen kun je stellen op de app. De schoonmaakster 1 maal gezien. Wel heel vriendelijk! Ze vertelde dat wij de minste kamer/hok hadden. Er konden niet geruild worden alles zat vol. Raam badkamer defect. Grote rommel op dakterras. Huis naast accommodatie is een bouwput. Geen geld terug gekregen voor het ongemak van de accomodatie

“Sobrevalorado”

The location was close to the train station and the kitchen was well equipped. The room was small, with no space to open the suitcases. There was no sound insulation. Breakfast was held outside the hotel, and on Mondays it was in a different, more distant location. There was no laundry service, even though it was listed as such. The hotel entrance door was very noisy, and the sound could be heard in the room. We requested a room with a private bathroom, the bathroom was fine, but the room was next to a shared bathroom. Combined with the lack of soundproofing, we could hear people. For cleaning, a sign had to be put up or they wouldn’t enter. The air‑conditioner did not work well at night and was very noisy in normal mode.
