It was a nice old house with character, and the breakfast was good. The spot was convenient with parking, but nobody was on site overnight, so we realized we had booked a B&B in someone’s home rather than a house with separate rooms.

The owner was very friendly and the continental breakfast was excellent, but the bed was uncomfortable and the bath needed an upgrade.

We loved the décor and location of the Carriage Barn Inn. The staff were fantastic and we had wonderful chats over coffee in the morning. Their restaurant and activity suggestions in Keene were spot on, and we had the best time on our visit.

The service was adequate, but the buffet was simple and cold; it would have been nice to have a hot option alongside the coffee.

It was not good at all. The store‑bought breakfast was something I would never buy again; I had to go elsewhere for breakfast, and for the price it should have been more creative. It felt run with a masculine bias and was nothing like the other places I’ve stayed.
