“Cozy chalet with wildlife, but needs bedside lamps”
A tiny, rustic‑style chalet that feels very local and handy – you can park right there and it sits right on the road heading toward Manzanillo. A ten‑minute walk across the street gets you to a pleasant beach, and the surrounding forest is full of giant trees and noisy howler monkeys and toucans. The owner is friendly, offers a free coffee in the morning (no restaurant in June), and the shower works fine even though there’s no hot water – with 30 °C outside it’s not a big deal.
“Friendly host, stunning property”
The host was unbelievably friendly, and the place itself couldn’t have been more beautiful – everything from the décor to the views felt just right.
“Great location, wonderful host”
Loved being so close to the Gandoca National Refuge in Manzanillo, but the real highlight was the warm hospitality of the host, WillFran.
“Ideal base for beach hopping”
The spot is spot‑on for getting to both Punta Uva and Manzanillo beaches – you’re basically steps away from the sand and surf.
“Peaceful retreat with great scenery”
A really pretty place with fantastic views, quiet enough to relax, and you wake up to the sound of birds singing.
