“Ce ne siamo andati”

The location is beautiful, but this was my second stay at Rupe dei Gabbiani. The first visit had been positive, so we came back, only to find a very different experience. We arrived around 16:30 and noticed the air‑conditioner, though on, was barely blowing air and couldn’t cool the room. We reported it immediately, and a staff member used the remote, but for about two hours we got no updates or a fix. At 19:00 we mentioned the problem again, plus other issues: the shower door was incomplete, the bathroom light seemed about to fail, the hair dryer was almost unusable, and there were very few outlets. We were told the AC would be fixed when we returned, but no fan, room change, or other option was offered. We came back around 2 a.m. and the room was still too hot to sleep. They said they hadn’t had time to address it and couldn’t do anything. Instead of finding a solution, they even argued with us. With no alternative offered, we left at 2 a.m. without sleeping in the room we’d booked. A malfunction can happen, but the management was unacceptable: hours with no updates, a promised solution that never arrived, no alternative, and a confrontation in the middle of the night instead of help. It’s a real shame, especially since we returned because of the previous good experience.

“COMPLIMENTI”

The property is very beautiful, away from the city chaos yet just a short distance from Terracina, surrounded by greenery with a mountain view. The room was spotless, fully equipped, and the mattress was very comfortable. We stayed one night and enjoyed the breakfast, which was truly worthy of an agriturismo: sweet and savory products of first quality, genuine and tasty, with special praise for the homemade jam and cakes. The owners and staff were very kind and welcoming. Definitely worth returning to try the dinner; the restaurant offers a genuinely inviting menu. The only suggestion: fix the mosquito net in the room, it had a large hole, but that’s a minor annoyance compared to the comfort we received.

The owners were very friendly, but the lamps on the bedside tables were very dim, making it hard to read at night.

The care and the surroundings, the restaurant, and breakfast were all good, but the room might have been a bit small.
