The room was spacious and the hot spring water refilled quickly.

The room had its own hot spring water for soaking, and the 4‑person family room was fairly roomy. When I wanted an extra blanket, the staff said I’d have to pay 200 NT, and after staying at many hotels across Taiwan, this was the first time I’d been charged for a blanket; the room rate itself wasn’t cheap.

Overall it was clean and came with instant noodles and a treadmill. I stayed in a room on the road side, so it was noisy, the sign light was blinding, the curtains were too short to block the view, and I couldn’t sleep all night. The blue‑purple light above the bathtub made my eyes sting, and the bottom of the tub was slick. The bed was large but made of two joined mattresses with a groove in the middle that made lying down hard. Breakfast was a McDonald’s or 7‑11 voucher; the McDonald’s was a bit away and I had to go get it myself. The area around was empty with no shops or scenery, and the room door was locked with a key, feeling more like a motel.

The value for money was high and the hot springs were great.
