The hot spring was fantastic! The weather was perfect, and Fuji Mountain looked amazing – it was the best! The air conditioning was dirty…

The view from the room was amazing. The breakfast staff were very helpful, and the view was great. It was a shame that the bathroom and shower shared the same space.

The staff were courteous and the view of Mt. Fuji was stunning, with tasty breakfast on offer, though the room’s fixtures felt a bit dated.

I was surprised by how quickly the front desk replied to the request I made when booking, and although I’d had trouble getting requests honored at another hotel before, everything went smoothly that day. The building isn’t brand new but it was clean and well‑maintained, and the large public bath and its changing area were also tidy. Because the hotel kept my keys at the front, I ended up stopping by there often, and each time they greeted me from a distance, which made the stay pleasant. The room supplied plenty of large bath towels and face towels for two people, so I never ran short whether I was using the public bath or my own bathroom. I loved the honey‑tea from the free‑drink station on the 5th floor so much I bought it on Amazon after returning home. Fresh flowers in the room were a nice touch. On the negative side, I knew breakfast was a set menu, but I wish there had been more egg options like sunny‑side‑up instead of just eggs benedict, and I was puzzled why yogurt was served before the dessert. Also, disposable slippers were only available at the front; it would have been nicer to have them in the room.
