Located 15 minutes from Oban Railway Station, it provides free Wi‑Fi and private parking. Guests enjoy nearby shops, restaurants, bars, Glencruitten Golf Club (5‑minute drive), and Ganavan’s sandy beach (2 miles).

The location was perfect and the accommodation was very clean and tidy. Having orange juice and water in the fridge was a nice touch, and it was lovely that the bed was made every day. My room faced the back of the property, and I could hear the upstairs room using the toilet. I found the room very dull; even with lighting it still felt flat. There was no wardrobe or drawers for hanging clothes.

The house is beautiful; the rooms are tastefully designed and well thought out, featuring not only a kettle, tea and coffee but also a small capsule coffee machine, milk, orange juice, water, and porridge. The door lock in the entrance area needs to be repaired or replaced – most guests struggled with it. It should also be mentioned that some rooms look out onto the back courtyard 😒

It was available. The rooms were dowdy, the bed was uncomfortable, and the toilet cistern took an age to fill. There was no contact with the host or any staff.

We stayed in two rooms, one on the ground floor and one on the third. Both were very comfortable and clean; the bathrooms were nice. The rooms had Nespresso machines, which was a welcome surprise, and the fridge held containers of orange juice and milk, plus surprisingly tasty instant porridge for breakfast. The third‑floor room offered a very nice view of the harbor. There was no host on site; you just pick up your keys and go to your room, so I can’t comment on that, but it worked out fine. No lifts, so book a lower floor if you (like us) don’t travel light; lugging heavy suitcases up and down the stairs was a workout! It would have been nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the downstairs common sitting room. We spent a bit of time there when the weather turned, and it would have been pleasant to enjoy a cup of tea.

The position is good. The front door key did not sit properly in the barrel to unlock.
