We were thrilled with every detail of our visit; the rooms were impeccably kept and the beds were supremely comfy. Morning breakfast was plentiful, and we appreciated the option to cook ourselves. The short stroll to the slopes and the onsen turned out to be a pleasant surprise, and we’re already planning a return for Christmas.

This is an amazing place that truly exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond, and the transport service—dropping us off at the gondola or in town—was incredibly handy.

Snow Palace is a unique place. It's very clean, has great service, a good location, and the owners are very nice. Gabi is wonderful and baked a delicious apple pie. I'll definitely be back.

The stay was fantastic, especially for someone who values cleanliness and ambiance—everything surpassed my expectations. The lobby, with its stunning view and warm lighting, stands out as the most beautiful spot in all of Nozawa Onsen. The staff were excellent, and I’m especially grateful to the owner, Gabi, who baked gluten‑free bread after learning I couldn’t eat gluten. The complimentary shuttle to the slopes added great convenience. I love this place and would gladly come back.

Snow Palace is amazing! The house is really clean and comfortable and the staff is very helpful. The rooms and common space are spacious and immaculate, and we loved the convenience of the big kitchen and cooking our own breakfast in the mornings. The free shuttle service to the ski resort in the mornings is really nice, and you can actually just ski down to the other side and it's less than a 5 min walk back to the house. The house is a 10 min walk from the main town area, but there are also a few restaurants/cafes nearby. And a public onsen 1 min walk from the house!. nothing!
