The rooms were arranged in a way that made getting around a pain. The old lady who lived on the property was constantly in our space and it got pretty annoying. We paid one price online, then they started charging extra for the boiler and later for electricity.

No breakfast was offered at all, even though it seemed like it should be. When we raised the issue they slapped on a 36 lev surcharge for the winter season. Not what we signed up for.

Nothing about that house felt right – it hadn't been cleaned in months. Dust was everywhere, and every step kicked it up into the air. The rooms looked neglected and the whole place felt grimy.

Rooms were oddly placed and you have to share a bathroom on the ground floor, which wasn't cleaned properly. The linens were torn, the toilets looked grimy, and talking to the owner was a struggle because of her hearing issue – she even double‑booked rooms she didn't know about.

The breakfast was a tasty, homemade spread that really hit the spot. On the downside, the place is a bit out of the way if you rely on buses or trains. Driving is basically the only easy option.
