The location is excellent in the historic center of Faro, the room is large and clean, there are few rooms so the shared bathroom is very accessible, but the room window didn’t seal properly.

The Portuguese Element in Faro offers a central location with a quiet street view, within walking distance to the Cathedral of Faro (3-minute walk), Lethes Theatre (600 metres), and Faro Marina (less than 1 km). Family rooms feature private check-in, dining tables, work desks, and parquet floors.

The location is superb and the place is clean, but there is no air conditioning in the room.

Everything was great. The interior design is very impressive, it’s clean, has everything needed, and the price is reasonable. Thanks for the stay.

I had read the reviews beforehand and was a bit nervous about the place, but it turned out to be better than I expected because it’s very central, has all the basic facilities, and the staff are friendly. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. I stayed in October, so there was no issue with heat or noisy neighbours. It faces the street, but that’s part of the charm of the old town in Portugal, with its narrow, historic streets. I liked it and would gladly come back. I would have liked to be able to leave a suitcase for a few hours, though; the check‑out time is 11 am, which was too early for my 8 pm departure, and it’s hard to carry a bag through those streets. A small upgrade to the hostel would solve that.

The place is in a super central spot, right in the old town. For just one night it was perfect. From the airport we drove about 15 minutes to get there.
