The staff were very kind and hospitable. The area was amazing, with lovely temples to visit and a beautiful river. We didn’t get to try the riverside dining, which was why we booked this ryokan, and it wasn’t mentioned. The food was not very good; the ayu (salted fish) was especially disappointing.

The experience was the best way to feel the history of Japan.

The staff were very friendly and attentive to everything. The room’s cleaning was a bit lacking, but nothing serious.

The location near the river and the staff were positives. The rooms and bathrooms felt a bit too old.
