It was one of the few spots in that part of the island, which was why I chose it, and the staff were friendly. However, the place wasn’t very clean—sheets and floors were dirty, and the mosquito problem was severe; I’d recommend installing screens because staying in the room in the morning was uncomfortable.

I loved the back porch view—seeing Maracus beach, birds, swaying coconut trees, boats, calm blue sea, shining sun, mountain vistas, beachgoers, and tidy homes with fresh air and greenery made my stay relaxing and peaceful. But the fridge needed a new one because the seablast had rusted the racks, the bathroom mats were worn, and the rooms should be mopped before guests arrive; there was dust on the microwave top.

The spot’s location is spot‑on and the view is stunning, but the building clearly needs a facelift; the room feels dated, the sink and fridge are rusted, and the bathroom looks old, dirty, and as if it’s falling apart.

The owner was very pleasant and stayed on the premises, the compound feels secure, and the view of Maracas Bay is excellent—perfect for a weekend on the north coast, just a couple of minutes away. The property itself is rustic.
