The host is very friendly and the house is impeccably clean—dust-free, which is amazing. I wouldn’t bring children because there are so many dolls that could break. Breakfast is lovely, served between 8-10, and coffee is available anytime. The area is very peaceful, and sitting outside in the morning is idyllic. However, if you’re British and think you can get anywhere in the USA without a car, think again. We rented bikes from Dans Bike Hire; without them we would have been stuck. There are no easy taxis or Ubers, and once we realized how remote the property was we didn’t want to cycle in the dark again, which limits your movements. Some reviews mention bikes at the property, but we didn’t see any, so ask about that. The owners have turned the place into a huge doll house—dolls everywhere, beautiful but not everyone’s cup of tea.
