“Relaxing, unforgettable, would definitely return.”
Everything was very clean, peaceful, and overall it was a hidden little gem. Absolutely nothing was wrong; everything was perfect.
“Very enjoyable”
I loved the view, the layout, and the courtesy of milk, butter & eggs. However there were no curtains or a door between rooms and the road to the lodge was very narrow.
The setting was gorgeous, and the activities and books for kids were great; the facilities were solid and the beds were super comfy—perfect for families!
“Brilliant - would definitely recommend”
The location was lovely and quiet, and the welcome basket was very generous. The hosts communicated so well and were very friendly, adding thoughtful touches to the accommodation and the lovely outside areas.
“Beautiful Devon”
It sits in a beautiful setting overlooking the countryside with great privacy, offers ample car parking, and the owner leaves butter, milk, eggs, chocolate, biscuits, and crisps. The kitchen is very well equipped with a good oven. It’s an ideal spot for a winter break, tucked inside the cabin with the wood burner on, but by the time you return from a day out enjoying beautiful Devon the place becomes an oven at 35 degrees; even with the doors open it was unbearable and there was no fan. When it gets dark, though still roasting, you had to shut the doors because insects were getting in. There was also no hot water for the shower, which was a blessing given the heat, and no iron or ironing board.
