The host was very friendly and let us choose between two rooms, the clean and well‑furnished Courtyard with many dining spots, hammocks, a swing, etc. The play area for children was also well set up. The beautiful view from the upper courtyard, the clean room and bathroom, the supermarket right next to the bus stop, and the close proximity to Bran were all great. In just 5 minutes we were there, close to many places to visit. The location listed on the site was wrong; it led a bit in another direction, on another street, but searching for the name of the pension took you straight to it. I didn’t like that the pictures didn’t show that the pension was right on the main road, especially since the map made it hard to tell. We had never been in the area and didn’t know exactly how the town was laid out. It would have been good to see that the pension was actually on a main road, a DN if I’m not mistaken, because we wanted a quiet place and unfortunately there was car noise. We had a balcony with a view but because of the noise we couldn’t stay on it or leave a window open, the street was right next to the window and balcony. So I can’t say we had a truly relaxing area. Also we couldn’t rest because the mattress was a spring one, old and we felt every spring in our ribs and it was very hard. The pillows were huge and we couldn’t use them, though some might like them that big. The doors were old wooden with glass and you could hear everything through them. Unfortunately children were staying and we heard them crying at night or how the door opened or footsteps. (It’s not their fault or the parents’). It’s just an unwanted thing I encountered at this pension. Probably if the door had been different and a bit better insulated it would have been different. Hot water sometimes came very rusty and we couldn’t use it most of the time. On the first day we couldn’t even take a shower, it took time to clean it. Only on the second day did it get cleaner. So if you want a quiet, relaxing place you won’t find it here. If you want a play area for kids it’s fine.
