“Einmal und nie wieder!”

The check‑in was quick and the location was fine, but at arrival we were told the hotel was fully booked except for one room. The room was 44 °C and the A/C didn’t work, the fridge was broken, the soap was gone, and the TV wouldn’t turn on. We tried to leave and get a refund, but the owner said that wasn’t possible. He then offered a second room, which was just as hot and still had a broken A/C. We tried again, and he finally gave us a new room that was a bit cooler at 38 °C. Because we had no refund and it was already night, we had to stay. The A/C failed to cool the room through the night, making it the worst night of the trip. The place is far from newly renovated; it has new mirrors and possibly new beds, but everything else is old. Be cautious with this accommodation. At the same price there are better options like the Days Inn.

The motel sits close to the “attraction” of Lake Havasu, the London Bridge. The bedding was comfy, the room was small but had a fridge and microwave. The body soap, hand soap and after‑shampoo were empty. The bedside lamp didn’t work, and when I checked the outlets I found a used handkerchief and an old meal wrapper behind the nightstand. The AC unit was installed just 40 cm from the bed, which was unpleasant.

“Unfortunately, because of this experience, I would not recommend this hotel. Ever!”

The only thing that was decent was the location; everything else was disappointing. The property looked deserted, there were accessibility problems, and no staff helped us. After checking in at the self‑service kiosk and programming my own room keys, I was excited to start the trip. But my room was on the second floor and there was no easy way to haul our suitcases up. I was traveling with my husband, our 9‑year‑old son, and my elderly mother, and we had several pieces of luggage. The temperature was well over 100 °F on the day we arrived. After driving all the way from Los Angeles, my son and mother were exhausted and eager to cool off. Unfortunately, when we reached the room the door wouldn’t unlock. I tried all three key cards, none worked. I walked back and forth to the lobby with luggage in the extreme heat, looking for help, but no staff was available. My husband was understandably upset watching our family struggle in the heat, especially as our son and mother grew more tired and uncomfortable. After becoming overheated, exhausted, and frustrated, we had to leave and book another hotel. This was a huge let‑down for what should have been a fun family vacation. Better staff availability, customer support, and accessibility would have made a big difference. Because of this, I would not stay here again or recommend it to families with children or elderly guests.
