“A great base in an lovely setting but could do with updating”
The facilities were solid—my kids adored the pool and the duck pond, and the pool had floats and balls for extra fun. The location and setting were lovely, and the lodges were spacious enough for our family of four, with two bedrooms. The staff were exceptional, warm and friendly. However, the lodges felt worn out; the sofa and bed were uncomfortable and clearly needed an upgrade. The kitchen was well equipped, but several items required replacement: the kettle leaked, the tin opener was rusted, and the pans looked like they’d seen better days. The Wi‑Fi was completely useless.
