I liked the convenient spot for southern Turin, the breakfast was decent and the staff were friendly, but the building looked run-down, the bathroom was in bad shape, and the bed was uncomfortable with a badly worn mattress.

The breakfast was good and well managed by the two staff present. I left the hotel because I couldn’t take a shower. I reported the issue Friday evening to the night concierge, and the next day (Saturday afternoon) to a manager who said she would notify the maintenance crew. On Sunday morning, the last receptionist at the front desk claimed the maintenance crew wasn’t available that day. Problems can happen; the difference is how they’re handled and possibly resolved, but mocking the guest is definitely not the best solution, never. They never asked me to change rooms, perhaps they were full, but when I decided to leave, I requested a refund or a voucher, and received no response or explanation—disappointing behavior from the management. I lose money and nothing is done; I’ll tell Hotel Guido Reni that they can spend all that money on medicine, and at every small opportunity I’ll speak ill of the establishment. Customers are not chickens, they are CLIENTS. Thank you.

The hotel is situated in southwestern Turin, has easy transport links, nearby supermarkets and other amenities, the rooms are quiet and safe, and the staff are attentive; breakfast is offered, though there’s a slight disinfectant smell in the rooms.

The location was good, but the premises were shabby.
