I stayed close to the beach and enjoyed the good food options, but it’s a pity that swimming is forbidden after 7 pm because the place is sunny and hot all day; it would be lovely to relax in the evening when it’s hot outside, yet no swimming is allowed.

The rooms are quite quiet because they’re far from town and not many guests show up even in high season; the second room we received was better than the first, which was a bit of a disaster. The first room was not clean, the furniture looked old, there was no soap, and the sheets were folded on top of the bed. The reception didn’t have a fridge or a hair dryer to lend, spiders were in the toilet, and every shower smelled like sewage. The staff didn’t smile or greet us at the reception, and each time we asked for a paper roll they handed us a very small one.

The mattress was soiled and absolutely disgusting, stained with puke and body fluids; we only noticed the stain when it was already showing through the sheets, so we ended up sleeping on chair cushions on the floor. When we pointed it out and asked for a clean mattress protector, they replied, “ma’am this is one!” and it was finally cleaned. They offered us another room with another disgusting mattress before finally finding a clean one. This could be an amazing resort if they sorted out their bed hygiene and changed the pool water regularly. The location is perfect, but no compensation or reassurance was offered for the sleepless, uncomfortable night, and they booked a family straight in our old room, which horrified me. The lack of care by the staff regarding basic hygiene in the rooms was evident; the floors were clean but the bed was a swamp of body fluids. I warn everyone booking this resort to peek under their sheets first, and I hope the owners take this on board and realise that mattress protectors must be cleaned, sterilised, or replaced to protect their customers. We felt they didn’t care.

Roma Mam was very helpful and calm, solving every need, and the total area is very clean.
