“For the price, it's a fair, clean, space. Quiet and relaxed. Liminal and beautiful.”

The Golden Hotel and Conference Center surprised me with its unexpected vibe. The conference area is a huge, enclosed, almost silent space—so fluorescent and still that you wonder if the meeting finished or everyone just disappeared. Endless carpet, endless quiet, and not another person in sight. It feels like an architectural held breath. There's a striking faux altar up front with fake plants and animals bowing to a ceramic holy family. And the yellow everywhere—love that yellow paint. This isn’t a luxury hotel; it’s a place you visit for its unforgettable atmosphere. I’d give it 4 stars for the pure liminal‑space energy. The only downside was that our pillows were a bit tough to handle.

“I feel safe and love it like home.”

The towels were always clean, the bed was made and super comfortable, and the cafe and care were great. Alex and Nathan ran the lobby and were welcoming and kind people. I felt at home while searching for my own. The only thing I wish they had was an indoor pool or spa, but that’s not essential for me. They do have a pool, though I’m not sure where it is. The breakfast included eggs, sausage, or bacon, similar to La Quinta.

The staff were bad, the place was unclean and sketchy, and there were roaches.
