The room was nicely designed and breakfast was good, but the coffee was terrible; only black coffee is offered and you have to pay extra for a cappuccino. At check‑in a €150 daily deposit is requested, or €100 in cash, and the refund only comes back at checkout after a room inspection is approved, so you must wait until the inspection is done before the money is released. The room was very dirty. The balcony was full of bat droppings and wasp nests; we asked for them to be removed, but the staff said they would send someone and nothing happened. The jacuzzi was only 34 °C; when I asked to raise it, they agreed to 35 °C. Breakfast didn’t offer a regular omelette; only an egg ball with cheese was available. The location is on the outskirts of the town and the access road is very winding, like a roller coaster.

The spot is pleasant, set in a forest near the Paltinu reservoir, with free access to bikes and canoes for outdoor fun, and the à‑la‑carte restaurant served divine dishes while the staff were friendly and helpful. The last kilometre of the road is unpaved, kicking up dust from the many vehicles that pass through this developing area, and there’s an active construction site on the property that will expand the facilities soon, but for now it creates noticeable daytime discomfort. Also, the wooden terrace in front of the rooms shows clear signs of weathering, with many planks rotting.

The position, proximity to the river, and facilities were good. Prices were unjustified for the services, though the rooms were decent but not exceptional, and the shower flooded the entire bathroom.

“Oboseala cu pretenții”

The staff were nice, but the whole site was a construction yard—go for silence and you’ll find bulldozers. The room wasn’t ready on time; we checked in while they were mopping the floor. Food was at best decent.

Food and views! The kitchen was excellent, the lake beautiful, and the people friendly. The air‑conditioning didn’t work—no cooling even though it rattled, and the room felt and heard a lot of kitchen noises. The room’s window opens only on hinges, so you can’t tilt it, giving the impression that at night anyone outside (even animals) could enter; all rooms are on the ground floor.
