I stayed here again because the destination was great and the place is lovely. I’ll come back another time. It’s also on the flight path for planes landing at Stansted, which was interesting to watch. The few spiders didn’t bother me, but some guests might not enjoy the aircraft noise.

Clean, spacious and in a great spot. The breakfast was full of pastries; bread would have been better.

Great location for Stanstead and close to nearby pubs, restaurants, etc. There was no sink downstairs.

Lovely location, plenty of parking, lots of space in the rooms, and a gorgeous outside seating area to relax. Nothing to report.

Just returned from a one‑night stay and wish we’d booked another night 😒 This lovely stables conversion is simply fabulous! Great location with beautiful views and only a short walk from the village. Highly recommend The Maypole for drinks and food, no more than a 5‑minute walk away. The lounge downstairs has a comfortable sofa, TV, full fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. The bedroom with ensuite upstairs is so cosy and comfortable—I didn’t want to get out of bed and slept so well 💤 Great value and ideal for a stress‑free break in Thaxted. So peaceful and relaxing. It has its own massive carpark area, so no worries about parking 👍 No hassle with self check‑in/out. Loved, loved, loved it… and coming back soon! Thank you 🥰 Absolutely nothing!
